Are the Conditions Right for Conception?
Most of the lubricants currently on the market have been shown to kill or significantly impede the movement of sperm – making conception far less likely. Fortunately, there are lubricants now on the market that are scientifically designed to match fertile cervical liquid and semen, creating a conception friendly environment.

Developing Baby's Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills are those movements involving fingers, hands and wrists, and helping babies learn to hone those skills can be both simple and lots of fun for baby and parent. Here are some ideas for helping your baby develope these very important development skills.

Pregnancy Weight Gain Recommendations
Pregnant women often feel liberated by the idea that this is the one time in life when they can eat, really eat, for a purpose. However, almost half of all expectant mothers gain more than the recommended amount of weight. How much is too much? And does it really matter what you eat as long as you gain the right amount of weight for the pregnancy?

Inside Pregnancy Week 14

You're 14 Weeks Pregnant!!!

Your baby is now at 11 weeks gestation and is about 2 1/2inches from crown to rump (3 1/2 inches from head to toe) and weighs about 1 ounce. Remember when we told you about the intestines forming outside the body? Well, they are now contained within the abdomen. Your baby can smile now!

Advice for Mom
You may want to consider buying some maternity clothes for yourself. It will help you feel better about your pregnant self. Read some tips on the Do's and Don'ts of Maternity Fashions. Morning Sickness may be settling down this week. Although, many women do experience it longer than others. If you're 35, you may consider having amniocentesis. It is usually scheduled between 14 -18 weeks from the start of your last menstrual period. Traveling by car? Weather it's a trip around the block, across town or across the country, always wear your seat belt .

It has been great so far. The only thing is that I still cramp, but not constantly just a few times a day. I can feel my body stretch.

I am 14 weeks now and still very tired. My pregnancy so far has been very easy and enjoyable. No morning sickness, and lots of cravings...particularly Taco Bell. I felt my baby move for the first time 3 days ago. I continue to feel it when I am sitting, such as when I was in a meeting today, or when I am laying in bed. Very exciting!
