Month 7

Month 7

By the seventh month, your baby is showing more signs of being an independent little person. Many babies can sit well and some are even starting to crawl. But many babies will not creep or crawl for a few months yet. Some babies are able to pull themselves up to a standing position and cruise around the furniture, while others are content to wait a few more months before testing out these skills.

Other things your baby may be doing now include: Protesting if you take a toy or other object away Work to get a toy that is out of reach Pass objects from one hand to the other Play Peek-a-boo Babble and say 'ma-ma' or 'da-da' Look for an object that has been dropped

No matter how carefully you babyproof your home, your baby is bound to bonk his head, elbows or knees at some point. Lots of TLC from Mom or Dad is usually all that is needed to 'fix the boo boo'. If you haven't already done it, you should babyproof your home before your little one gets more mobile!

Many babies are ready to make the switch from strained foods to things with coarser textures. Suitable foods include mashed small curd cottage cheese (although some health care practitioners recommend no dairy products until after the 8th month), oven dried toast, mashed cooked fruits and vegetables. This is also the time when clear fruit juices (many mom's mix the juice with equal amounts of water) may be added to your baby's diet.

my baby start crawling at 6 month and now he is 7++ month.. now, he's able to pull himself up to standing position and moving along the furniture. sometimes, he'd always try to let go his hand from the furniture while he's standing and try to stand on his own... but, of course, he's not able to stand yet and fall down for several times... still, he never give up...

Are the Conditions Right for Conception?
Most of the lubricants currently on the market have been shown to kill or significantly impede the movement of sperm – making conception far less likely. Fortunately, there are lubricants now on the market that are scientifically designed to match fertile cervical liquid and semen, creating a conception friendly environment.

Developing Baby's Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills are those movements involving fingers, hands and wrists, and helping babies learn to hone those skills can be both simple and lots of fun for baby and parent. Here are some ideas for helping your baby develope these very important development skills.

Pregnancy Weight Gain Recommendations
Pregnant women often feel liberated by the idea that this is the one time in life when they can eat, really eat, for a purpose. However, almost half of all expectant mothers gain more than the recommended amount of weight. How much is too much? And does it really matter what you eat as long as you gain the right amount of weight for the pregnancy?
